I covered the beached shark story on Long Island’s south shore today. What a crowd! I can’t believe how many people tried to pose with the 1000 pound, 20 foot Basking Shark. One guy tried to push it back into the ocean.
Sounds like it was like being at Yellowstone and watching hundreds of people take picture of one bear. They caused traffic jams! The photos of the crowd were better than the photos of the bear!
Did they think the shark's "sonar" went wrong?
I love the photo with the boy taking the picture of the shark, too!
