I had to photograph a toy train display at the Town of Babylon Museum. They expanded an exhibit for the holiday season.
When my boys were younger, we always set-up a train at the base of our Christmas tree.
We haven't set it up in a few years, space, time and the boys being older all take a little of what makes it special, away.
I also had to photograph a USO dance at a senior center. Many of the seniors wore uniforms and brought memorabilia from the wars. It was awesome.

That sounds like a couple of good jobs.
My sister got a train set when she was young. I was five years younger, so i mainly watched. It eventually got set up in the basement. I don't know what ever happened to it. I remember liking when there would be smoke coming from the engine smoke stack...or what ever it is actually called.
Very cool. There's something magical and mesmerizing about a train set. Hopefully you'll share some photos of the dance, if you can.
I always enjoyed watching my older brother with his train set.
This sounds like a fun assignment.
What a lovely idea to set up a train set round the tree. That looks a fine set you've photographed.
Oh I love this! My nephews would be in Heaven. :)
WoW! that was really awesome.
Love the HDR effect ... very nice!
What a cool train set. I always loved trains and remember a really old one we had while growing up. I have a cousin who used to have quite an elaborate model set up in his garage until he moved onto remote controlled airplanes.
I love toy trains! My son was big into Thomas the Train when he was a toddler (he's only 7 now, but not into trains anymore) so it brings back great memories.
