This image is from yesterday’s walk through Prosser Pines in Yaphank. It used to be called Cathedral Pines. I don’t know why they changed it. Our first house was not too far from this extremely unique place. Long Island is known for its beaches, not for towering pine trees. This place has the tallest pine trees I’ve ever seen on the Island. It’s a hidden gem. This is one of those places I continue to revisit and I always fine something new there. Yesterday was gray and drizzling rain, which added to the mystery this place holds.
