Irene has past and we only lost cable TV, internet and land-line telephone service. All I missed was internet. Sunday afternoon most people were trying to get things back to normal here in Southampton. Down at Coopers Beach others were trying to look at the ocean waves. I had my running shorts on and the sand was hurting my legs and arms. Most people came and went. This young woman gave it her best.

Wow.. still pretty darned forceful.
One can sense the force of the wind in these images.
It appears to be still pretty forceful ....I think I might pass on that stroll down the beach...! ;)
so glad you are seeing the tail end of that one. i can just feel the sting of the little bits of sand. woosh!
We went out to the Jersey shore and the waves were pretty strong. No one allowed to sim yet.
Those waves look violent!
Not to be fooled with indeed.
you made out better than we did. we had no power for 51 hours and lots of folks we know are still without. those shots sure do tell a story though.
thanks for stopping by my place too :)
Crazy---and that is when storm is past!
hope you survived it. i was so out of the loop throughout... taking care of the little one. i hardly saw any television coverage. actually, i saw none. you are my irene news source! =)
