Leaves on Trout Pond

Still not much happening
in the way of explosive fall colors
here on Long Island.
I went over to Trout Pond
to find some color.
This is what I found.

Yeah, it's not great here either - the leaves have turned on some trees, and immediately fallen off, elsewhere it's still pretty green.

I'd say a lucky find....for sure...we don't have an over abundant burst of colors yet either, and yesterday's winds took away much that will never turn...but I'm hopeful that it will be here soon!

Love how the light interacts with the light. I've been taking a little break, but I'll begin posting regularly again soon. :)

More than we have here! Our few trees that change color won't until January. It's a somewhat mixed up system in the desert! This is very pretty.

Very nice, the colors are heading north. They are starting to fade around me.

Thanks for your comments. I'm living outside Sacramento, but we're a military family so we move a lot. In fact I've lived in New York for six years, three at West Point and three at Ft. Drum, but that was before I got into photogrphy. So here's what I love about this photo, aside from the rich color: those leaves look like koi fish!
