Butterfly or moth
Yesterday must of been the day of the moth or butterfly, whatever this is. I googled brown and orange moth and butterfly and found something similar in both searches. Oh well, so much for finding out what this is. This one was on the Boxwood plant sunning. There were an abundant amount of them flying around the yard "playing tag."

I like your contest photo. It's one of the better ones for sure! Hope you get enough votes. The butterfly is a Red Admiral.
looks like a variation of a monarch..very unusual marking. butterflies or anything that flies is hard to photograph... good job!
It's a Red Admiral Melissa is right. A butterfly!!! Nice capture.
I'll vote when I get home! I, think it's a moth, but I'm no expert. :)
The butterfly is a Vanessa atalanta. Wonderful photos!

There have been so many butterflies/moths here already. Will check on your contest photo. Hope all goes well.
I had to come back and tell you what a fantastic photo that is ... added my vote.
I have seen an unusually large population of butterflies this year. I love seeing them.
