I just finished Michelle Mercer's book “Will You Take Me As I Am, Joni Mitchell's Blue Period.” Mercer is a good writer, though I was a bit disappointed. Probably too much information about Mitchell's long list of lovers. Other than that is was ok.
One of the things I loved about her was her ability to paint a detailed landscape with her poetry.
Today on my walk I was looking for detail in a landscape. This study is more like a Georgia O'Keeffe than a Joni Mitchell.
Made with the Canon G10 and processed with ACR.

Lots of good detail ... and I like O'Keeffe.
The bug-eaten holes make it real.. the shadow make it beautiful.
Thanks for the book info.
Your photo is outstanding as usual.
Did we read the same book? Mercer's book has way more on St. Augustine and landscape in music than on any one of her boyfriends.
