cold morning.
They took off after I snapped two photos.

Nature is undeniably beautiful.
Oh lovely! Don't see many of them in this cold weather.
It's nice that they posed for you, Steve! Someone told me once how to tell the male from the female but I forgot.
So precious! Nice catch! Oh I wish this was taken in my butterfly field.....it's getting pretty quiet around here....we did have a bird bath full of sparrows until big Mr. Mighty Blue Jay flew in!
I haven't seen any Monarchs in a couple of weeks now.. ever since our weather cooled back to October norms. Lovely shot, that pairing.
There was a wounded butterfly on the sidewalk at work the other day..I put it on a bush in hopes it would heal and fly again..these are beautiful:-)
