The Traveling Vietnam Wall

This weekend I had the opportunity to visit the Traveling Vietnam Wall. I've been to Washington and seen the Monument there.
The feelings at both are the same.

People touch the wall, make rubbings of names,
hang flags and lean photos there.

If you get the chance....
 see it.

I've never seen this, but I would love to! These are amazing pictures. I can sense the emotion through them. I'm sure it would be magnified in person.

solemnity is a given.

our county veteran's memorial has a permanent replica of the vietnam wall - it is 3/4 the size of the original and is so impressive.

Excellent photos, Steve. They help tell its story.

Ironic that it's meant to be touched and that it travels, as it is indeed both touching and moving.

I've been to the traveling wall. Though heart wrenching it also brings inner peace somehow. I visit it whenever possible.
My brother is on that wall.
