I don't want to rub-it-in, but today's weather was fantastic. After making some baby photos this morning I started with yard work and cleaning up the vegetable garden. I know it's early, but it's better to do what I can, when I can. I understand it may rain tomorrow.
Today is Adam's last day home. It was a great visit, he was a big help with the yard work today.
My photo post is of bolts in the bulkhead by the canal. I've said it before, rust always catches my eye.

Rust does indeed make a great photo subject. Nicely done.
although we had a much less than perfect weekend, we had some beautiful days last week, so i can't complain. and this week is supposed to climb back up toward 60 degrees.
i've always loved to photograph rust. i don't know why it's so photographable. but it is! love it paired with the rustic wood grain here.
Beautiful photo! More and more, I find I am attracted to rust as well. Does that mean we are getting old and rusty? Crusty?? LOL!

Oh, I can see why it catches your eye! A process that takes course over time, something that forms slowly as life goes on with all its bustle nearby.
I love pictures like that, and all the stories we can imagine, about the day the bolt was first tightened, and by whom. What was going on at the time, and the march of lives past it.
Older things, things that show wear, they are the sentinels of life, aren't they? Standing guard, never speaking, changing and keeping watch.
