A visit to the North Fork

I had a job on the North Fork this morning.
It was such a beautiful day, I took the long way home. Someplace along Rt.24, maybe Mattituck, I came across this old cemetery with a grave for Benjamin Moore. I got excited thinking it was THE Benjamin Moore, but no, it just Benjamin Moore.
Still, it was a perfect day for photography even HDR photography!

Corner Stop

I just love the red against the dark storm clouds and had to snap a photo.
Three textures and three colors.

11.) I am grateful for clouds moving in the sky.

Make mine red...

actually, Merlot is my beverage, Merlot and sangria. I have yet to try and make sangria at home even though I've collected a couple of recipes. To be honest, it seems time consuming and an awful lot of work for something that's not gonna last too long.
This was from the same photo outing the May 4 post was from. I never got around to finishing it. As with the others, this is HDR.

Cotton Candy Clouds

That's what Cel, my wife called the clouds today as they appeared to be wrapping themselves around the top of the Adirondack Mountains. Strands of white gray clouds moved freely against the dark rain clouds and up the purple mountains.
God is incredible.
We made good time getting home tonight despite the rain. Not that we were trying to make a record or anything. It's just nice to get off the road and back home.
This is an HDR photograph made along Old Military Road, Lake Placid, New York. Old Military Road is the by-pass around the center of Lake Placid and the Olympic Training Center.

Montauk Lighthouse

I worked a wedding today and I'm pooped! The heat was unbearable and it really made me tired. I made some photographs around the yard today to post, but I'm too tired to process any of them.

This is a photograph I made Friday morning. It's another HDR photo. Here on Long Island this is a pretty classic photo; everyone makes a Montauk Lighthouse picture.

Comercial Kitchen

I made these two photos today while waiting for an event to start. This kitchen is in a senior center and Brenda runs the place. She always make me carrot cake muffins whenever she knows I'm coming there. Today the kitchen was closed. I was amazed at how clean everything was; usually the place is so busy you can't focus on the small stuff. Today, I was able to roam around and look at things and make a couple of photos.

Both are HDR photos processed with Photomatix Pro. Both were made with the Canon 5dmkII.
