Red Reed

What a day. I did manage to get a coat of spackle on Adam’s wall, but that’s about it. I couldn’t sand the spackle because it didn’t dry. Sometimes I just don’t know where the time goes. Tomorrow, I have the October General meeting of the Legislature in the morning and a press conference following that.

I made today’s photo yesterday. My eye was drawn to the red reed surrounded by the green leaves of the ornamental grass. This was made with the Canon 5D and processed with ACR.

I love the look of the grass. I was going for a similar look a few weeks ago, but I definitely need a better camera to get your detail. I feel like I could touch it!

beautiful colors. i'm noticing color more and more in nature. i'm noticing the times when it works and begs to be photographed. this is one of those instances.

i know what you mean about time... it seems to go by so fast the older i get. days pass without notice. now that i'm working again, i covet the weekends more than ever. but i still don't get everything done, even though i protect that those precious few hours. hmmmm... maybe i blog too much?
