Doors

I just loved the weathered look to these old doors. They belong to the old signal building in Babylon Village. The building is in private hands right now, but the town wants to purchase and restore it. They want to put it on the Historic Registry.

Doors are another feature in our lives that we personalize to give a sense of our character. Maybe that’s the reason so many photographers are drawn to photograph them.

Made with the Canon 5d as an HDR photograph. Processed with Photomatix Pro.

Those doors have a lot of character. I find doors fascinating because they always lead somewhere.

the colours and textures that the age has brought about.

Unusual tones for a wood door. I really like this cold blueish light.
Original!

You're right, I love photographing doors and windows. Maybe it's a peek into the lives of those behind them. I would have shot these doors too - nice!

I love those old doors, too! (Back when doors and windows had a little character!)
