I made a slide show of the seven parades I covered yesterday, but I can't figure out how to get the ftp site information for blogger. So, I picked out some of my favorites.
The “Thank a Vet” shirt is Councilwoman Jacqueline Gordon, she can wear something like this because she not only served in the US Army, she's an active commander in the reserves. The front of the shirt says Got Freedom.
There's an Armored Division patch, the Amityville HS Band member and the flag waving boys sitting on the curb in the village.
We owe a lot to the men and woman in uniform.
I wish I was more web savvy so I could post the slide show.

you got some great shots, steve. very vibrant and colorful.
is your slide show on a web site? you could post a link to it, if so. that is what i did for my little girl on the beach photo set.
also, i think there is a blogger gadget for slide shows. did you try that? you could upload them to your flickr, and then paste the url of that set into the gadget.
just a thought.
these give us a good idea of what you were part of ... thank you
Wonderful photos, Steve. I wonder if Google can help you figure out the slide show.
and a beautiful sunny day, to boot!
Nice selection of photos for a wonderful tribute. I really liked the variety of your photos especially the young children celebrating the holiday, it is so important for them to understand and grow up with appreciation for what the armed forces have gifted us with.
Thanks for stopping by my website and having a look see Johnina :^A
I have a friend who did a very touching slideshow for memorial day. It is on You Tube and also on this site

She is a very caring and sharing person and would probably be willing to help you to learn how to do a slide show. With your photographic talents I'm sure you could do some awesome ones.
